Gelbvieh Juniors Elect 2009-2010 Board of
Directors
The American Gelbvieh Junior Association (AGJA)
elected new directors during its annual
meeting held at the 2009 AGJA Pride of the
Heartland Classic, July 6-11 in Des Moines,
Iowa. The AGJA elected five Board Members to
serve two-year terms on the nine-member
team. The AGJA Board of Directors serve the
association throughout the year at Gelbvieh
shows, sales and events and strive to
develop the future of the breed.
Newly elected Directors are Seth Arp, son of
Steve and Betty Arp, Arlington, Wis.; Dustin
Aherin, son of Dennis and Joyce Aherin,
Phillipsburg, Kan.; Janelle Hayek, daughter
of Barb Hayek and the late Tony Hayek,
Clutier, Iowa; and Britney Volek, daughter
of Keith and Janice Volek, Highmore, S.D.
Andy Lindgren was re-elected to a two-year
term on the Board of Directors. Andy was
also elected to serve as Vice President of
the AGJA. Andy is the son of Jim and Diane
Lindgren of Atlanta, Ill.
Re-elected for a third year as AGJA
President was Kyle Kendrick, son of Joe and
Patti Kendrick of Palmyra, Mo. Serving in
her second year on the Board of Directors,
Katie Sullivan was elected to the position
of Vice President of Leadership Development.
Katie is the daughter of Larry and Marie
Sullivan of Robertsdale, Ala.
Elected as Secretary was Keaton Kendrick,
son of Joe and Patti Kendrick of Palmyra,
Mo. Justin Taubenheim, Amherst, Neb., will
serve as the AGJA Treasurer. Justin is the
son of Mike and Renee Taubenheim. Both
Keaton and Justin are serving in their
second year of their term on the Board of
Directors.
Nikki Hojer, daughter of Alan and Pam Hojer
of Lake Preston, S.D., will continue on the
Board as the Ex-Officio member.
